The net proceeds from our fun and educational EcoAdventures go directly to support the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association. The Niagara Escarpment is designated by the UNESCO as one of fifteen Canadian World Biospheres Reserves among 564 Reserves worldwide in more than 100 Countries. The Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association was the first community association to promote the Biosphere concept along the Niagara Escarpment, which is part of Ontario’s Greenbelt.

The three principles that are the foundation of biosphere reserves are conservation, sustainable economic development and capacity building. We are working on the ground on several projects including the Six Streams initiative improving water quality, protecting forests, monitoring ecosystems, removing invasive species, supporting and presenting our Dark Sky and more. To discover more about the Bruce Peninsula environment and how to protect it, please read our Conservation and Stewardship Plan Summary. Booking an EcoAdenture is a great way to support the Biosphere Association's great work here on the peninsula. You might also consider a rewarding membership that can be a 1 year, 3 year, or lifetime purchase or giving a donation toward our vital work. Please let us know if you would be interested in a tour of our projects or would like to participate in an enriching volunteer experience.
